Interpreting TOEIC Scores

Local Differences

TOEIC is administered globally and maintains an international standard.
Score Reports issued in different countries may look different - the scoring system is consistent worldwide.
Candidates receive a letter to prospective Employers with their score reports explaining the differences.

TOEIC Scores range from 10 - 990, separated into Listening and Reading scores. TOEIC Speaking & Writing components are also available.

Common European Framework (CEF)

                           Listening    Reading    Total
            C1               490            455         945
            B2               400            385         785
            B1               275            275         550
            A2               110            115         225

Note that the CEF includes Speaking and Writing components. The Listening and Reading scores do correlate to Speaking and Writing skills, and can be used as a guideline, but specific assessment requires these tests.

See More ETS TOEIC CEF Mapping information, including relevant Speaking and Writing minimums.
