CEFR

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) describes achievements of learners of foreign languages. 

The 6 reference levels are increasingly being used as a standard for grading an individual’s language proficiency.

Although we recommend any school or company determine and set their specific standards for English proficiency, ETS has mapped most tests to the CEFR standard.
