Improved Teaching through Quality Assessment

Assessment is an integral part of teaching. Good assessment improves the teaching process and the quality of schools - and external testing can also provide accountability to stakeholders and assurance to students.

A Quality Assessment partnership with schools

We’re building a partnership with schools that choose the TOEIC or TOEFL ITP tests to improve their overall assessment process.

We’ll work with you to analyse your needs, and advise how the TOEFL ITP or TOEIC could add value to your English language programmes.

Combine with your own assessments

Internal assessment can be tailored to the teaching in your classrooms. External testing provides accountability to stakeholders and assurance to students. The two are complementary - each has its own purpose and strength. Utilise your teachers’ assessment skills while taking advantage of an objective measurements of student capability.

External assessment is cost effective when used as a component of a broad policy. Listening & Reading tests are expensive to create; the nature of the questions means that new, parallel tests need to be written and validated regularly to minimise the risk of cheating on the answers. The TOEFL ITP and TOEIC tests allow a school to avoid that task, and when used in conjunction with your own assessment, create a robust regime that has meaning within your school and the wider world.

Many schools in Australia and New Zealand use the TOEIC Test to assess their students improvement. It’s an integral part of their record of student progress.

Extensively validated & benchmarked  +  customised, teacher-centric assessment

The TOEIC and TOEFL ITP are ideal tools for tracking learning. They allow you to accurately and objectively measure groups of students against other levels within your programme, and against groups at the same level in other years. Both tests are benchmarked against CEFR.

The scores are meaningful to you, your students, other institutions and future employers - as both a standalone high quality test result, and as a valuable contributor within a school’s assessment process.
